Though a couch is used principally for seating, it can also be used for sleeping. In households, couches are customarily located in the family room, living room, or the lounge. In some cases couches are found in non-residential locations such as hotels, in the lobbies of commercial offices, waiting rooms, and bars. Moreover, a chaise lounge is a lifted sofa that looks like a chair that is long enough to support the legs.
